These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of joshuaajieh.com (the "Website") and any products, content or consulting services offered by Joshua Ajieh ("I", "me", or "my").

By accessing the Website, submitting a request, purchasing a service or otherwise using the Website, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the Website or purchase services through it.

The Website may provide:

  • Product management and startup-related content
  • Articles and educational resources
  • Information about Stop Building, Start Validating
  • Links to purchase books and other products
  • Product consulting and advisory services

  • Forms for requesting consulting engagements
  • Waitlists for future products or services
  • Research participation opportunities

The availability and scope of these offerings may change over time.

2. Consulting Services

I provide consulting and advisory services focused on areas including product strategy, product discovery, validation, user behaviour, retention, growth, distribution and related product challenges.

The exact scope, deliverables, timing and price of a consulting engagement may be stated on the Website, during booking, in a proposal, invoice, email or separate agreement.

Where there is a conflict between these Terms and a separate written agreement specifically governing a consulting engagement, the separate written agreement will take precedence for that engagement.

3. Product Diagnosis

A Product Diagnosis is intended to help identify product problems, examine available evidence and provide recommendations or potential next steps.

Depending on the service purchased, you may be asked to provide information about your product, users, business, previous experiments, analytics or other relevant context before the session.

You are responsible for ensuring that information you provide is accurate and that you have permission to share it.

Recommendations made during a Product Diagnosis are professional opinions based on the information available at the time.

They do not guarantee a particular commercial, financial, product or business outcome.

4. No Guarantee of Results

Product development, startups, growth, distribution and business performance involve uncertainty.

While my services are intended to help you make better-informed decisions, I do not guarantee:

  • Increased revenue
  • Increased user acquisition
  • Increased retention
  • Product-market fit
  • Investment or fundraising
  • Successful product launches
  • Specific growth rates
  • Profitability
  • Customer adoption
  • Any particular commercial outcome

Examples, frameworks, case studies and previous results presented on the Website illustrate approaches or past experiences and should not be interpreted as guarantees that you will achieve the same results.

You remain responsible for decisions made concerning your business, product and organisation.

5. Professional Advice Disclaimer

Content on the Website and information provided through general educational materials is for informational and educational purposes.

Unless expressly agreed as part of a consulting engagement, Website content does not constitute personalised professional advice.

Nothing on the Website should be treated as legal, financial, tax, investment, accounting or other regulated professional advice.

You should obtain appropriately qualified professional advice where necessary.

6. Fees and Payment

Prices for paid services will be displayed on the Website, booking page, checkout page, invoice, proposal or another communication before payment.

Payments may be processed through Paystack or another designated payment provider.

By submitting payment, you authorise the applicable payment provider to process the transaction.

You are responsible for providing accurate billing and payment information.

Additional charges imposed by your bank, card issuer or payment provider, including foreign exchange or international transaction fees, may be outside my control.

7. Cancellations, Rescheduling and Refunds

Specific cancellation, rescheduling or refund conditions displayed during booking or agreed in writing for a particular engagement will apply to that service.

If no separate conditions are provided, please contact me as soon as possible if you need to reschedule a consulting session.

Completed consulting sessions and work that has already been substantially performed are generally not refundable except where required by applicable law or otherwise agreed in writing.

Where I am unable to provide a paid service and a reasonable alternative cannot be arranged, an appropriate refund may be provided.

Any refund involving a third-party payment processor may also be subject to that provider's processing procedures.

8. Client Responsibilities

If you purchase consulting services, you agree to:

  • Provide reasonably accurate information
  • Provide relevant context necessary to perform the agreed work
  • Attend scheduled sessions on time
  • Respond reasonably to requests necessary to complete the engagement
  • Avoid providing information you are not authorised to disclose
  • Make your own final business and product decisions

The quality and usefulness of recommendations may depend on the completeness and accuracy of the information you provide.

9. Confidential Information

Information shared specifically for a private consulting engagement will be treated with reasonable confidentiality and used for the purpose of providing the agreed service.

However, you should not submit confidential or proprietary information through general Website forms unless necessary.

If an engagement requires access to particularly sensitive or proprietary business information, additional confidentiality terms or a separate non-disclosure agreement may be agreed.

13. Third-Party Purchases

Books or other products may be sold through third-party platforms such as Amazon.

Purchases completed through those platforms are also governed by the third party's applicable terms, refund policies, fulfilment rules and privacy practices.

The Website may contain links to or integrations with services operated by third parties.

These may include payment processors, retailers, social networks, analytics services, scheduling platforms and other external services.

15. Portfolio and Case Studies

Case studies, examples and portfolio materials are intended to demonstrate product thinking, approaches, experiences and outcomes.
