I use website analytics to understand traffic, see which content visitors find useful and improve the experience of exploring my book and consulting services.

1. Information I Collect

Depending on how you interact with the Website, I may collect the following information.

Information you provide

When you complete a form, request a product diagnosis, contact me, subscribe to updates or join a waitlist, you may provide information such as:

  • Your name

  • Information about your product, business or current challenge
  • Type of consulting help you are interested in
  • Whether you are willing to participate in an interview or research conversation
  • Messages, feedback and other information you voluntarily submit

Please do not submit confidential, highly sensitive or proprietary information through Website forms unless it is specifically requested.

Payment and transaction information

If you purchase consulting services through the Website, payments may be processed by third-party payment providers such as Paystack.

I may receive transaction-related information such as your name, email address, payment status, amount paid, transaction reference and related transaction information.

I do not directly collect or store your full debit or credit card details. Payment information submitted through a payment provider is processed according to that provider's own terms and privacy practices.

Website and analytics information

Google Analytics and PostHog are used to collect technical and usage information about visits to the Website. Depending on the tool and feature involved, this may include:

  • Pages visited and page addresses
  • Referring websites and campaign information in links
  • Browser, operating system and device information
  • Approximate geographic information
  • Visit times, session activity and engagement
  • Selected button clicks, form events and Website options
  • Browser-generated visitor and session identifiers

Analytics providers also receive technical connection information needed to receive requests from your browser, which can include an IP address. Each provider handles this information according to its own documentation and privacy practices.

2. How I Use Your Information

I may use information collected through the Website to:

  • Provide and manage consulting services
  • Respond to enquiries and consulting requests
  • Process and confirm transactions
  • Manage bookings and service requests
  • Operate waitlists
  • Conduct product and customer research where you have agreed to participate
  • Send service-related communications
  • Send updates you have subscribed to receive
  • Understand how visitors discover and use the Website
  • Measure Website, content and campaign performance
  • Improve the Website, my products and my services
  • Diagnose technical problems
  • Prevent fraud, abuse and security incidents
  • Maintain appropriate business and transaction records
  • Comply with applicable legal and regulatory obligations
  • Establish, exercise or defend legal claims

The legal basis for processing personal information depends on the activity and applicable law. Relevant bases may include performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, legitimate interests or consent.

3. Analytics, Cookies and Browser Storage

The Website uses Google Analytics and PostHog to understand site traffic and how visitors interact with its content and features. Analytics are configured to load automatically on public pages and the consulting payment journey.

These tools help me understand where visitors come from, which pages they read and whether they take selected actions, such as exploring a book format, choosing a diagnostic option or submitting a form.

Cookies and similar technologies

Analytics tools may store cookies or information in your browser's local storage. These technologies help distinguish browsers, recognise returning visits and connect activity within a session or across visits.

Analytics identifiers do not necessarily contain your name, but they can distinguish your browser from others. Analytics information should therefore not be assumed to be fully anonymous.

Tracking settings

The PostHog integration is configured with session recording and automatic interaction capture disabled. Page views, page departures and selected events explicitly added to the Website are enabled.

The Google Analytics integration is configured with Google Signals and advertising personalisation signals disabled.

Your browser controls

You can use your browser settings to delete cookies and site data or restrict their storage. Browser privacy tools and extensions may also block analytics requests. Deleting stored data alone does not prevent new data from being stored during a later visit.

Restricting cookies or browser storage may affect some Website functionality. Browser controls do not necessarily prevent every form of technical data collection.

For more information about the analytics providers, seeGoogle's Privacy PolicyandPostHog's Privacy Policy.

4. Payments

Payments for consulting services may be processed through Paystack or another payment provider identified during checkout.

Payment providers may collect information necessary to process your transaction, prevent fraud, comply with financial regulations and provide payment services.

Payment information handled directly by a payment provider is subject to that provider's privacy policy and terms.

I do not receive or store your complete payment card details.

5. Book Purchases and Third-Party Platforms

The Website contains links allowing you to purchase Stop Building, Start Validating through Amazon and may link to other authorised retailers or distribution platforms.

When you leave this Website and complete a transaction on a third-party platform, that platform is responsible for the information it collects and processes.

Its own privacy policy and terms will apply to your transaction.

6. Service Providers

I use third-party service providers to operate and improve the Website and my services.

These include providers supporting:

  • Website hosting and deployment
  • Databases and form processing

  • Payment processing
  • Booking and scheduling
  • Website security and infrastructure

Providers used for these purposes include Vercel, Convex, Google Analytics, PostHog, Resend, MailerLite and payment or booking providers identified during the relevant service.

These providers may process information on my behalf or, in some circumstances, act as independent controllers of information they collect.

Their processing is also governed by their respective privacy policies and terms.

7. International Data Transfers

Some of the technology providers used to operate this Website may process or store information outside Nigeria, including in the United States and other countries.

Where personal data is transferred internationally, I will take reasonable steps to use service providers and safeguards intended to protect personal information in accordance with applicable data protection requirements.

8. How Long I Keep Information

I retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including providing services, maintaining business and transaction records, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements and satisfying legal, accounting or regulatory requirements.

Different categories of information may therefore be retained for different periods. Analytics retention also depends on the relevant provider's settings and practices.

When information is no longer reasonably required, I may delete or anonymise it, subject to applicable legal requirements.

9. How I Protect Information

I use reasonable administrative and technical measures designed to protect information against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, loss or misuse.

However, no internet transmission, database or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

You should therefore use appropriate care when submitting information online.

  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
  • Request portability of certain information where applicable
  • Lodge a complaint with an appropriate data protection authority

Certain rights may be limited where I am legally required or otherwise permitted to retain or process information.

If you voluntarily subscribe to updates or other marketing communications, I may use the information you provide to send those communications.

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe option provided in the message or by contacting me directly.

Transactional or service-related messages, such as payment confirmations or communications relating to a consulting engagement, are not considered marketing communications.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

I may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes to the Website, my services, technology providers, legal requirements or business practices.

The latest version will be published on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.
